About Us

Hey there! We're Sean & Zach and we started Soothing Sloth Soap Co. back in 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio. It all began when a DIY bath bomb kit was gifted to Zach as a way to feed his recent obsession with bath bombs (and save money!).

After many months of trial and error, we finally felt like we had found the secret to a really good bath bomb and decided to share the hard work with friends and family. The reception was so good, we decided to start a small Etsy shop with a couple of different bath bombs just to see what would happen.

It wasn't long before orders started coming in and folks were asking for more options. Since 2017, the business has grown to offer cold-process soaps, scrubs, clay masks, lotions and many other self-care products, but bath bombs are still our passion and specialty.

Right from the start we wanted to be ourselves with this company and that meant injecting our personalities into every aspect of the brand. That is why you'll find many pop culture references and sassy quips in our product names and descriptions ranging from Real Housewives to pop music divas.

As a queer couple and business owners, we also think it is incredibly important to support our local LGBTQ+ community and be visible as gay entrepreneurs. Self-care starts with loving every aspect of one's self!
